The FD-851RE is a thermo differential detector for detecting temperature rises and high temperatures. The detector goes into alarm when it exceeds a temperature limit of 58°C or a temperature rise of more than 10°C in a minute. This detector features a low profile design and can be used in a B401 or B3xx series base. The detector features a 3-colour for status indication.

The FD-851RE is part of the Processor enhanced Detection series of conventional detectors. These detectors are produced using the latest manufacturing and design techniques, which push the boundaries in existing conventional technology. With a microprocessor and a multitude of enhanced features such as drift compensation, this detector is the best in conventional detection.

The FD-851RE thermal detector features the latest thermal element technology, the detector efficiently and accurately detects fires, especially in boiler rooms or kitchens where smoke detectors are not suitable due to higher air pollution.

The programming remote can be used in conjunction with the PhD series of detectors to access other enhanced features. These available functions include : read/write last maintenance, read value of thermal element and perform an alarm test.

The PhD series detectors include a bi-colour LED indicator. The integral LED colour changes indicate the status of the detector : Green = normal, Red = alarm. This provides the user with a clear visual indication of the condition of the detector. The green LED can be programmed as blink/no blink operation.
